Lazarus Long - Wikipedia

Written by one of three Grandmasters of 20th-century hard science fiction, author Robert Heinlein.

I read these books in highschool in the 1970's.

The Lazarus long series delved into extreme longevity, the transfer of the human mind into computer/AI copies, and transferring those copies back to a clone of the original upon an untimely death.

It is a seminal series of fictional works dealing specifically with many aspects of the long life spans science may soon provide to humanity.

These stories are masterfully-written, and a great place to start on what some of the ramifications of life extension may be.
